Hello there and welcome to my web site, my name is Dennis Aitken and I am a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant.
Becoming a Celebrant is something I have aspired to for some years now and received my registration as a Civil Marriage Celebrant with the Attorney General's Department in 2016 after completing the Certificate IV in Celebrancy at the Gordon Institute in Victoria.

I have lived and worked in Regional Tasmania for many years, including fourteen years providing support and assistance to children, young people and their families in dealing with/overcoming issues associated with family separation, abuse and neglect, and loss and grief.
In a 'past life' I worked for many years in the mining industry, including fourteen years as an Underground Miner, both here in Tasmania and New South Wales. I have spent the past sixteen years working for the TasTAFE College as a Teacher, Workplace Trainer/Assessor.

I have strong connections to the North West, West Coast and East Coast regions of Tasmania and I am committed to the well-being of families everywhere.
I believe it is the goal of all families to be happy and succeed in life and I see marriage as one way for couples to achieve this goal by building strong bonds within a loving marriage.

I am committed to the institution of marriage and take great joy in assisting couples in realising their dreams of becoming joined in marriage.
